As a Senior Data Scientist at Lune, you will be at the forefront of building data-driven solutions that power our product offerings. You will leverage vast proprietary data sets and cutting-edge machine learning techniques to solve complex problems and deliver insights that directly impact our customers. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Lune's data science capabilities and contributing to the growth of our product suite.
● Develop and deploy scalable data products that enhance Lune’s customer experience by working closely with both technical and non-technical teams.
● Build and maintain high-quality merchant databases and low-latency APIs using advanced entity resolution models.
● Utilize deep understanding of customer needs, internal metrics, and the ML ecosystem to identify new opportunities within Lune's transaction data sets.
● Create and implement sophisticated machine learning algorithms using Python, PySpark, Databricks, and other modern tools to streamline data preprocessing and ensure efficient delivery of insights.
● Design, test, and deploy end-to-end data pipelines that seamlessly integrate processed data into production environments.
● Must have:
○ 5+ years of experience in data science roles, particularly within fintech or B2B SaaS
○ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
○ Expertise in payments-related data (e.g., card transactions, debit, merchant data) and/or transaction data analytics.
○ Proficiency in machine learning, statistical algorithms, deep learning, and entity resolution techniques.
○ Fluency in Python, SQL, and relevant statistical/ML packages.
○ Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders using data science tools and visualization techniques.
○ Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable milestones.
● Nice to have:
○ Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in data science, machine learning, statistics, or a related field.
○ Experience with PySpark and Databricks.
